EMAIL SAFETY BE DILIGENT!
This is a reminder to be wary of unsolicited emails, out of the ordinary or unusual urgent requests. Many of these emails are “spoofed”- made to appear that it is an internal email coming from a PCF employee.
This is a fraudulent email. This is a phishing email created to gain a contact number to convince the recipient to purchase gift cards.
What to do if you received the email?
If you received a similar email. Please delete. Our admin team has blocked this sender.
For any assistance, please submit a ticket.
Remember
- Never make any purchases such as gift cards and prepaid cards as directed by any email. These are all fraudulent requests.
- Never reply or provide any personal or financial information in an email. In this case, the scammer is attempting to attain your phone number.
- Never respond to email solicitations for personal data, sensitive information or money.
- Don’t click on any links inside of unsolicited emails. These links often lead to fake sites that will prompt you for your username and password in order to steal your information.
Avoid entering your username and password from a site or prompt that generated from a link.
- When in doubt, throw it out! If you have any suspicions about any emails, it’s best to delete it. You can also Right-Click on the email and choose Junk > Block Sender.
- Any emails that are suspiciously urgent and containing a link to CONFIRM, DOWNLOAD, VIEW DOCUMENT are almost always a malicious phishing email.
